Gluten Free Sugar Free Granola

This granola is a winner at the house! It’s super crunchy and the best part is, there is zero sugar added. Check out what secret ingredient I use to make this granola sweet and crumbly.

What makes store bought granola super tasty… sugar! store bought granolas are packed with loads of sugar,unhealthy fatty oils, natural flavors, fillers and other junky ingredients. Lets take a look at the ingredient list from a store bought granola;

Ingredients: whole grain rolled oats, whole grain rolled wheat, brown sugar, raisins, canola oil, whey, insulin, almonds, nonfat dry milk, glycerine, whey protein concentrate, honey, natural flavor (contains coconut components), sunflower oil, natural mixed tocopherols

Why is this in the granola? and what the heck are tocopherals??

Now lets take a look at our Healthy Granola;

Ingredients: gluten free oats, banana, almond butter, coconut oil, raisins, cinnamon, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sea salt, vanilla bean powder

Much better! Now lets not kid ourselves, store bought granola has that special something that I like to call, “the cluster factor”. I love big bits of delicious granola clusters, so crunchy and so tasty. Every time I go to pick up a box of these little clusters of love, I read the ingredients list and automatically put the granola back on the shelf, too bad. Well ladies and gentleman I have fixed my problem, I made a granola that has the perfect clustering factor. Its quite simple really, so come along with me and lets make this granola.

Ingredients
  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1 Tbsp Almond Butter
  • 3 Tbsp Coconut oil
  • 3 Cups Gluten free oats
  • 1 Cup Nuts and Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Bean Powder or Extract
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Raisins
  • Dash himalayan salt
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20-30 minutes

Ingredients
  • 1 Ripe Banana

  • 3 Tbsp Coconut oil

  • 1 Cup Nuts and Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Bean Powder or Extract
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Raisins
  • Dash himalayan salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
  2. In A large bowl mash banana mix in melted coconut oil, almond butter, cinnamon, salt and vanilla. Once everything is incorporated mix in the oats and raisin
  3. Spread an even layer of granola on the cookie sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes flipping the granola half way through the baking process.
  4. Let the granola completely cool off and store in an airtight container.
