Creamy Basil Hummus

Garbanzo beans are included in the diets of some of the healthiest populations around the world. If that doesn’t make you want to eat these beans, I don’t know what will. Come check out the recipe and a few ways I like to use hummus.

Garbanzo beans the perfect source of folate and manganese. Lately I have been making hummus like a mad woman! I find it so easy to turn a dip like hummus into an awesome lunch for the toddler and I. Here are a few ways I use hummus:

  1. Perfect spread in sandwiches or wraps
  2. Delicious in salads as a dressing
  3. Excellent substitute for pizza sauce
  4. Perfect dip for veggies or crackers
  5. Cheese substitute in quesadillas
  6. Great as a pasta sauce
  7. Perfect on eggs instead of mayo

With that being said, my new obsession… Creamy Basil Hummus. Ladies and Gents give this one a go it is so delicious and it is not just my pregnant belly talking. The husband loves it and the 2 year old loves it too! It is definitely a keeper and a nice change from regular plain hummus. If you have been making plain hummus at home give this one a try, you will not be disappointed.
