Honey Lemon Cough Syrup

Why is it that all cough syrups taste so dang bad? I remember as a child my mom trying to shove a spoon of Buckley’s down my throat because it was supposed to make me feel better. More like gag from the awful taste, ugh. I still get shivers thinking about it. Well there’s a better way mamas. This simple delicious syrup goes down like a dream and is sure to help your little kiddos cold.

First things first the benefits of the ingredients: Raw Honey, Lemon and Coconut oil

Raw Honey

Honey has super powerful antiviral and antimicrobial properties. These properties help you fight the virus and bacteria to treat the cold. Honey soothes a sore throat making it an effective suppressant for coughs. The sweet taste of honey adds a nice flavor to the syrup making it a smooth ride down your kiddos throat.

We all know lemons are high in Vitamin C, so why not use it in your syrup? Vitamin C is one of the main antioxidants in food. It travels through the body, neutralizing any free radicals. A little extra Vitamin C is very useful for the overall strong immune system.
